Road Trip #4 took us from St. Petersburg, FL to Charleston, SC to visit our friends from Bangkok, Matt and Tricia! It was so good to see them and so fun to be there for 2 nights! We got to meet Tricia's mom and sister, see Matt's work, stay at Matt's Dad's house, walk dogs, tour Charleston, eat yummy food, play Settler's, visit and catch-up and just have fun!
We got there Thursday night in time to do dinner out with Tricia and then visit Mr. Matt at work :) We met Nala, Matt and Tricia's dog, as well as Daisey and Tori - Tricia's sister's and mother's dog, respectively. If you ask the kids, they will all say the highlight of our trip there was getting to each have a dog to pet and walk! They loved it and the dogs did great with all the attention!
It was so good to catch up and be there for 2 nights. We loved walking around Charleston on Friday, eating at Fleet Landing and spending time with our friends. They were such gracious hosts and so patient with our kids...we got to watch Finding Nemo on a movie screen and shop at Costco. I loved being there and being with them!!! Thank you Matt and Tricia!!! We love you guys!!!

Us in front of the cool Charleston suspension bridge - one of the longest in the western hemisphere!
The ladies out to lunch
(I had amazing shrimp and grits - it was sooo good with a tasso ham sauce and andouille sausage)!
The boys (Matt has on his All Hail Lord of Catan shirt we bought him)!
The fun restaurant right on the water - Fleet Landing
Fiddler Crabs in the marsh - there were hundreds and so fun to watch!

Kylie with Miss Tricia's camera :)
It was super windy and they had fun out on the pier
There are steel cable porch swings on the pier - so Matt and Tricia swung with our kiddos first...
Then we swung with them!
Battery Row (I think)
Such pretty homes!
The market - we didn't walk through it because Jack's shoes were hurting him, but we drove past it
Under the bridge is a fun playground and park...it was in the shape of the bridge and so much fun for the kiddos!
The Girls
Jack climbing
The Yorktown - too cool
Matt and Tricia run a Cares program for their apartment complex - which includes hosting events for all the neighbors to get to know each other...they held a movie night while we were there in their complex's mini movie theater! Finding Nemo - and it was so fun!
Getting ready to watch!
Totally random funny picture: Dan "sat" on Kylie and it looked so crazy, so I took a pic - it still makes me giggle :)
