We went on a super long family walk one day with Beau - it was beautiful outside and Beau loved it!

We went by a playground on the way home

And Beau snuggled up in his bed - which he only lays on if I make him :)

Kylie's 9th Birthday

Kylie had a great 9th birthday!  It was a Saturday, so Dan was off work.  She chose to have orange cinnamon rolls for breakfast, quesadillas for lunch and Olive Garden for dinner!

We surprised her by going to swim indoors at a rec center and we had a great time, then Grammy and Grandad joined us for dinner at her current favorite restaurant, Olive Garden!

Swimming - which was so much fun!  The kids LOVED the water slide and I loved the lazy river, but I was so coooold in the water!

...And I'm the Birthday Girl because today I turn 9!!!

Nicknames:  Pidge, Peeny Teen, Peeny, Peen Peen, Bugga, Budgie, Love Bug (Grammy), Kylie Grace, Budge, Shrimp Scampi.

Job:  I am in 3rd grade.  I like my teacher a lot!  My favorite subject is Art and PE.  I have a lot of friends.  I try my best in school.  I'm getting better with Math and working hard.  I'm a good friend.

Favorite things to do:  Playing capture the flag outside.  Climbing in our tree (when it's not roped off to grow grass), play Barbies, Play dress up sometimes, play the iPad and the computer.

Favorite colors:  Purple, Yellow, Orange.

Favorite Books:  The Yeti Files, Mercy Watson, Christmas books, Fancy Nancy, Big Nate.

Favorite Foods:  Tacos, mac and cheese, french toast, orange cinnamon rolls, Taco Bell Mild Sauce, Brownies, Mint chocolate chip ice cream, Constant Comment Tea.

What I want to be when I grow up:  I want to be a chef, a waitress or a Kindergarten Teacher.

Things I did while I was 8:  Played Basketball, Played Soccer on 2 different teams and did a great job!, started playing Goalie, Attended my first solo Daddy/Daughter Dance, Got to ride in the Chopper with Aaron out in the fields, Visited Montreal, Canada for the afternoon and ate Poutine, Swam in the waves all by myself without anyone holding on to me, Went to Jockey's Ridge and ran up and down the sand dunes, Became a Dog owner and Got Glasses. 

Why Mommy Loves Me:  Because you are so sweet!  You compliment everyone sincerely.  You make us laugh.  You are always genuinely excited to see us.  You know when you're grumpy and say that you're grumpy.  You work hard at school and have grown so much this last quarter and a half in your responsibility, controlling your talking, your math skills and your reading!  You love Beau and playing with him.  You love your friends and playing with them.  You love your family, your cousins and your grandparents!  You love going to church and learning about Jesus.  

You are growing up so much Kylie Grace and we love you so much!  We are so thankful that God gave you to us to be our third and has allowed us to be your parents!  We love you Bugga!!!!  Happy 9th Birthday!

Christmas Brunch

 We went to Mark and Heather's for Brunch!  I didn't take any pictures of the wonderful food, but we had monkey bread, brie and sausage casserole, hashbrown casserole, blt squares, broccoli quiche and fruit salad!  Uncle Johnny, Karen, John and Ina joined us this year to celebrate and enjoy the morning together!

 Kylie has been making Hannah cards and presents at school for a couple of weeks and wanted to buy some earrings to go in them - so we went shopping and she picked out matching earrings and a bracelet :)  She loves Hannah!
