Jack's Spelling Bee

Jack won his class Spelling Bee and advanced to the finals for his school.  He, unfortunately, didn't make the final 2, but he did great and I loved that his buddies were so proud of him for making it that far!

MD Juniors

 Megan played in a 1 day tournament the weekend after Richmond!  Mom Mom and Pappy were so kind to take Jack, Kylie and Beau so that both Dan and I could be there to cheer her on!  It was a complex series to get everyone where they needed to be that day.  I drove Megan at 5:15am to her coach's house, who gave us a ride.  Mom Mom and Pappy picked up Jack, Kylie and Beau at 6:45am to drive to Baltimore so they could attend church and cheer on Pappy getting baptized.  Dan left right after them to drive to MD.  They finished at 6:45pm.  Megan rode home with a friend to attend another friend's sleepover.  Dan and I drove to Baltimore to pick up the kiddos and then drove home!  Phew!  It was a crazy day.  The girls played well and they placed 1st in the silver bracket!

Our 15th Anniversary

Dan and I celebrated our 15th Anniversary on January 22nd!  We went out to dinner at a great local restaurant and enjoyed being out.  I can't believe we've been married for 15 years!

Daddy's Weekend with Kiddos

Dan held down the fort while Megan and I were in Richmond!  They had a great "Daddy" weekend and we realized it was the first time Dan had been in our house without me there since we moved back from Kuwait!  Craziness!  They had fun playing xBox, playing games, eating Mac 'n Cheese, going to church and taking Beau on fun walks!

Richmond Monument City Classic - Day 3

Day 3 was good.  The girls played well and enjoyed themselves.  They finished strong for the tournament and had their best set of the weekend.

Richmond - Monument City Classic Day 2

Day 2 started out with hot chocolates that the Coach bought for the girls for breakfast!  They loved them with their bagels, yogurt, bananas and juice!

Richmond - Monument City Classic Day 0 and 1

Megan had her first big tournament over MLK weekend in Richmond!  I took her, we stayed in a hotel and she played games for 3 straight days!  I had a great time.  I got to be the chaperon for her team, which included making sure everyone was where they needed to be, making sure everyone was okay at the hotel, keeping track of all of the girls during the tournament, making dinner reservations and hosting early (!) breakfasts in our hotel room!

We left early on Friday and we swung through the West End of Richmond to stop in at the homes of 3 friends to say hi really quick!  I got to see and hug Melissa, Heather and then Suz!  It was so good to see them!

 Megan's first day of volleyball started at a 5am wake up and hosting a 6am breakfast in our room!  We got to the venue at 7am for an 8am game!  The girls learned a lot that day about communication and teamwork :)

Megan's first official time of playing with her volleyball team was at Certapalooza!  They looked awesome in their uniforms and did a great job!

Afterwards, we went to one of the girls' homes to make team blankets!  They are so cute and brought to each tournament so the girls have someplace to sit on the concrete floors.  Megan is number 18!

Grammy took Megan and Kylie to get their nails done!  Kylie chose her finger nails with Piggy Snouts and Megan chose her toes with a pretty color!

Jack got this kit to make a pirate ship from Mom Mom and Pappy for his birthday last year and finally made it!  It turned out awesome!

And we got some snow so they could sled with Jack's new sled from Christmas!
