Kylie's Birthday

 Kylie's Birthday was a fun, great day!  Dan took off work and the kids are already off because of winter break - so it was great!  We had talked about going swimming on her birthday with our family, but decided to go to Pump It Up :) - one of Kylie's favorite places to play!  We asked Max to come with us (and Sarah graciously dropped him off to play with us at the last minute) and then Grammy hosted a dinner that night for the whole family for the holidays!

...And I'm the Birthday Girl because today I turn 8!!!

Nicknames: Bugga, Kylie Grace, Gracie, Budgie, Bugga Grace, Kylie Gracie, Teeny Peanut, Peeny Teanut, Ralph, Ralph Jr., Budgaroo, Kxlie, Bujois, Buggaparole, The Budge, Pekeeny. 

Job:  I'm in 2nd grade.  I really think that I have a really good 2nd grade teacher - I love her!  I like PE because we get to do Ghost Busters - like bowling.  I like doing Centers - my favorites are Art or Computer.  I've enjoyed learning about different places and how they celebrate Christmas, learning about China and Ancient Egypt.  

Favorite things to do:  Playing outside in my neighborhood with my friends, climbing the tree in our front yard, riding my bike, reading sometimes, playing with Rebecca (my American girl doll), playing with Barbies, playing Mommy's iPad, listening to music and dancing.  

Favorite Colors: Orange, Purple and Yellow.  

What I like to read: Poppleton, sometimes Junie B. Jones, Geronimo Stilton.  

Friends:  Isabel, Michaela, Mary, Laura, Rebecca, Maggie, Hallie. 

Favorite Foods:  Tacos, macaroni and cheese, chicken and rice soup, french toast casserole, hot chocolate, Frozen Fantasy.  

What I want to be when I grow up:  A teacher or a chef or a ballerina.  

Favorite Shows:  Strawberry Shortcake, Sing-Off, Barbie Movies, Good Luck Charlie, Ducktales, Wild Thornberries, Avengers and Tom and Jerry.  

Favorite Sayings:  Why?  Hammaise (instead of mayonnaise) - i.e. I want turkey, cheese and hammaise on my sandwich, Stop!, I'm gonna go downstairs in the basement and play, Can I play outside?, Mom can you start timing me (to read for homework)!

What I miss about Kuwait:  Happy Hour at Dad's work, Isabel, swimming, the long bus ride to read for a long time, our big playroom.  

Things I did while I was 7:  Got to be a Flower Girl in Anissa's Wedding.  Lost my two front teeth.  Burnt my arm on hot melted sugar.  Swam in the Persian/Arabian Gulf.  Performed in a Ballet Recital.  Had my Mommy come on 2 field trips with me (one to the zoo in Kuwait and the second to a farm in Virginia).  Moved to America!  Lived in a hotel for 30 days.  Started school in Virginia.  Learned to swim freestyle.  Went down the Howlin' Tornado at Great Wolf Lodge (which I never want to do again).  Played in the snow for the first time that I remember.  Learned what fog really looks like and what frost really looks like (we didn't have either in Thailand or Kuwait).  Got bunkbeds.  

Why Mommy Loves Me:  Because you are an amazing girl and so much fun!  You remind us of the Persistant Widow so much because you are tenacious in whatever you want (we're praying that God uses this trait mightily in your life).  You have a great smile and you sing all the time (like your brother, sister and father).  You are great with little kids and are a big help with them.  You are a helper in your class, but also want to be the one saying the answers...sometimes a little too much :)  We love you Bugga Grace!  We are so thankful to God for you and are so thankful you are a part of our family!  Happy 8th Birthday Kylie Grace!!!  We Love you!!!
