Welcome to Colonial Williamsburg!
In the midst of the crazyiness of massive home renovations, we took three days to travel to Williamsburg as a family to enjoy some time at Great Wolf Lodge and Colonial Williamsburg!
For Colonial Williamsburg, we parked at the Visitor's Center and walked to Colonial Williamsburg - we enjoyed walking on the path and reading all the different plaques about walking back in time :)
A gentleman took our family picture in front of the Governor's Mansion

Our kids under British Colonial Rule
The kids got to sit in booths that Thomas Jefferson and General George Washington and amazing other founding fathers have sat in! We learned all about it from a lady there - who explained that it is still a working parish today!
We all loved it!

We had fun looking at all the stores - on the hunt for a Christmas ornament and maybe some other things...Kylie wanted this Beaver badly but I wouldn't let her buy him.
Megan tried on a tricorn hat :)
Kylie tried on a ladies cap.
We walked alot!
And saw this fun little guy - and Jack asked me to take a picture of him!
The Governor's Mansion
At 4pm they did a reenactment that was so fun to watch!
Along with drum and fife corps
And a canon firing!
We put the girls in the Stocks!
Then the boys in the Stocks!
Then the girls in foot stocks - but Kylie couldn't reach :)

Then headed back to our car - which was a long hot walk. Dan finally gave in and put Kylie on his shoulders :)
I made Megan pose in front of a huge beautiful Magnolia tree :)
And then we walked back into the future...
We had a great day - so fun to see Colonial Williamsburg and enjoy learning a bit about it!
