A Mish Mash

For Teacher Appreciate Week we decorated every teacher's door - this was how we did Jack's Teacher :)

Dan and I got to go to see Irreplaceable the movie from Focus on the Family the other week in the movie theaters!  We loved it and having a date night out!

 I got to babysit this peanut at her house - and she never woke up the whole time her Mommy was gone!  I even tried to wake her up and she wouldn't budge!

 So I took pictures instead :)

 And last, but not least, we have an iris!  Grammy and Grandad came over and helped me plant herbs (Cilantro, dill, chives), hot peppers, watermelons, cucumbers, wildflowers and a whole bunch of other plants!  I couldn't/wouldn't have done it without their help!  Now it looks so pretty!

 I got to attend Saturday night - and purchased 12 tickets for our family and friends!  Dan, Kylie, Jack and I attended, as well as Mom Mom and Pappy, Grammy and Grandad and Megan's small group leader Abby, her daughter and 2 of Megan's friends from small group!  Our neighbors Leah, Jay and Henry attended, too!  We loved watching her up on stage and then she got to go out to get frozen yogurt with Abby and the girls!

Megan's key role was as one of the Dynamites - the backup singers who are like the Supremes :) They got to sing in "Welcome to the 60's" and did an amazing job!

Dan, Kylie and Jack attended Megan's friday night performance.  I was there but helped backstage keeping the kids quiet who weren't on stage.  Our friends Erin and Cara came out, too, which was sooooo sweet of them!  A) that they bought tickets and came out and B) that Cara came from Alexandria to come and (C) that their husbands stayed home with Erin's daughter so the ladies could come!  So sweet!  And fun to see them!

Hairspray part1

Megan tried out for and got a part in her middle school drama performance of Hairspray Jr. the musical!  She got the part of 1 of the Dynamites (Rayann) and was one of 4.  It was supposed to take place April 2nd and 3rd, but with all of the snow this winter, it was postponed until May 2nd and 3rd.  They worked hard, long hours.  She enjoyed some of it and didn't enjoy some of it (the long hours at rehearsals).  They did a great job and it was a blast to watch!  I got to volunteer a bit there on Tuesday afternoons to help out and enjoyed watching the show evolve!
