Capital Classic

Megan played in the Capital Classic - a 3 day tournament in DC!  It was bitterly cold the whole weekend and an adventure trying to drive in, park and play!  They played well the whole weekend - had some wins and some losses.  It was fun to cheer them on, see the 119 courts set up and the 900 teams playing ages 12-19!  We got to see Abby and MK, too!

The first day Dan dropped me, Megan and Emma off at the front of the convention center and he went and parked.  The second day it was me and the girls.  We parked and had to walk to the convention center - it was soooooooo cold!  That second day, when we left - I got turned around and walked out the wrong way.  We ended up SW of where we wanted to be and had to walk for 18 minutes in the freezing (below freezing, crazy windy) weather.  We finally made it to the car, but it was harrowing.  The third day we drove Heather and Cole in, too!  We dropped the kids off at the convention center with Mark, who had been there for hours already and Heath and I parked and walked!  It was crazy!

Time out

Megan dropped on the floor when we made it inside, because it was so cold out!

Megan didn't want to wear a hat and look "stupid" so instead she wore her blanket to try to keep warm :)

Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day we always do a Treasure Hunt in our house! Dan and I write up clues and hide them all over the house, then the kiddos have to take turns reading one and finding the next one and then at the end is a present for each of them!

They ran down the stairs to find something and knocked a whole bunch of rainbow loom bands all down the stairs :)

And this was how Dan and I spent our Valentine's Day - at Megan's Day 1 of the Capital Hill Classic tournament!  Grammy and Grandad watched our kiddos and Beau so we could both go!

Jack had a Valentine's Day party at school and I got to help out in his classroom!  It happened to also be Crazy Hat Day and he borrowed this hat from a friend :)

Beausef

His name is officially Beau, but we call him Beausef almost exclusively :)  He likes to get into tight spaces...behind the couch and the railing...

Under a chair

A little farther...

And his new favorite toy - a balloon!  He gets to have 2 per night - one until it pops and then a second one until it pops!  He loves to shake it around, chase it, yip at it and try to catch it!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Dan and Kylie attended the Daddy Daughter Dance at church!  They had a wonderful time getting dressed up, eating out at Olive Garden (Kylie's current favorite place) and dancing the night away!  Our church does such a fantastic job of this evening - lots of preparation and planning and an amazing night!

Beach Night

Jack and Kylie's school had a Beach Night one Friday night - no money, only if you wanted to buy snacks.  Jack was THE ONLY boy in his grade, but there were some cute girls there, so it was okay :)  They had a blast doing the limbo, hula hooping, dancing and having fun with friends!

Hoola hooping, which Jack is great at!

Beau's Official Haircut

Beau had his first professional haircut!  Dan has been cutting his hair, but it is stressful for both of them, so for Christmas Dan asked for a giftcard to have Beau's hair done at a groomer.  I took Beau and he did NOT want to go back with them (tail down, yipping), but they were super sweet and they said he did a great job!  He came back looking so handsome and shrimpy!
