Malone part 1

We went to Malone and stayed with Sam and Bridget!  They were so kind to let us stay with them and we had a blast being there!  We got to play with Harley, their ginormous St. Bernard, see their awesome home and spend some time with them, as well as at Dave and Kris's, seeing their new milking parlor and barns and visiting Gram!  We love being up there and seeing everyone (Carl and Sarah, Aaron and Phil and Anissa, too!)

Ice cream out the first night near Sam and Bridget's house!

The amazing new milking parlor!

Their new conference room!  Kris decorated everything beautifully and it is also super functional!

Grammy's Celebration of Life

We held Grammy's Celebration of Life on July 9th at the clubhouse in Grammy and Grandad's neighborhood.  It was a lovely time and so nice to see everyone who came out - Arlene who is 100 years old, Maeve's baby who was 6 months old (Grammy would have loved to seen both of them!), family who traveled great distances to be here, friends, ladies from Regina High School, etc.

We had held a wonderful family and close friends service right after she passed away at Mark and Heather's home.  Pastor Mike Minter had presided over that.  It was a wonderful night of Mark, Brian, Dan and Uncle Johnny sharing.

Grammy's Celebration of Life Eve

Johnny, Karen, Beth, Zo, Dave, Lindsay and all of their kiddos came into town the night before Grammy's Celebration of Life was to be held.  We met up at their hotel and walked across the parking lot for dinner!  It was a nice night out, so we all sat outside.  The kiddos played and had fun.  Then Grandad came out of the same restaurant with all of his buddies!  His ECU buddies had all come in for Grammy's Celebration of Life and we didn't know they were at that restaurant!  They stayed for another beer and to catch up.

Swim Team

Kylie did Swim Team this year for the first time ever and she loved it!!!  She loved going to practices, she loved meets, she loved swimming and cheering on her friends - she had a blast!  In the above pic, it was her first ever swim meet - and she finished first in her heat for freestyle and then maintained the fastest time all season for her age group in freestyle!

Ready for her first meet!

The only time she swam backstroke (and did great, but didn't love it)!

She got to swim 200m mixed relays - as the 9-10 year old with an 11-12 year old, a 13-14 year old and a 15-18 year old!  They were so sweet with her!

Too cute!

Kids Camp

We had Kids Camp (VBS) at church!  It was the first year that we've been back that we have been able to attend, so I volunteered as a small group leader, Jack worked in the 4 year old preschool class and Kylie attended as a camper!  The week was awesome - wonderful teaching on "The Force", water games, yummy snacks, amazing worship and lots of fun!

Worship leaders from Brazil that were awesome!  Tra la la la la la leulia...
