Christmas Eve Stockings

We get our stockings on Christmas Eve after church and dinner :)  This year we revamped a "Kuwait" stocking Dan had gotten from work 2 years ago for Beau!  I sewed a new topper for it in a cute red plaid I had on hand and voila! a new stocking!

We lined them all up on the sofa

Our kiddos had to wait upstairs and then come down

They all get their own container of gum that they can eat whenever they want, some chocolate and a new pair of pajamas and random other things :)

Beau got his stocking, as well as a new toy from his friend Maisy :)

Dan got to open his stocking

Christmas Eve Service and Dinner

We went to church at the 3pm service on Christmas Eve.  Grammy and Grandad got there early and saved us seats - we walked in with about 2 minutes until it began.  It was a great service with candlelight.  We got to chat with friends from Blacksburg that we hadn't seen in years and their 2 daughters who were just little when we knew them and now they are in college and about to graduate high school!

We then headed out to dinner at Anita's while Grammy and Grandad went to their house to meet up with Uncle Johnny and Karen for dinner!

Christmas Caroling in the Neighborhood

On the way down to the TSO concert, I sent out a message to our neighbors asking if anyone wanted to go Christmas caroling on Friday night!  No frills, no amazing voices, just belting out holiday cheer for our neighbors!  We had 25 friends come out to carol with us and had a blast!  It was cold, but not windy (which was an answer to prayer) and we lasted 1 hour before having to head inside to warm up.  I printed off song sheets and gave each of the kids glow bracelets and we had a blast!  Everyone wants to have it be an annual tradition, so hopefully we can do it next year!
