Centara Pattaya - Friday

We've been planning for 7+ months to go to the Centara in Pattaya with Ken and Amy's family. The 2 other times we had planned it, we had to cancel due to Dan's work and the kids being sick. This past weekend, we were scheduled to go on our Church Retreat, but it was postponed until March, so as soon as I heard that, I got online and booked 2 deluxe family rooms for us and the Ken and Amy! The great thing with this hotel is that you can cancel 24 hours in advance of your stay without losing ANY money! So, after booking the hotel, we called Ken and Amy and asked if they wanted to go with us! Thankfully, they said yes and we were so excited! On Friday, the kids had off school and Dan took off work. We drove down at lunch time (only 1 1/2 hours away) while Amy waited until Ken could get off at 4 to head out!

The hotel was AMAZING - it opened last year and has a "Lost World" theme!!! Our room was amazing, the balcony was amazing and the pools were amazing! Dan and I had a king bed, while the kiddos had a bunk bed that were 2 full-sized mattresses, plus a trundle! We got to swim that Friday - started at 3pm and got out finally at 7pm! Ken and Amy arrived about 2 minutes after we got out - and we still hadn't fed our kids, so we got cleaned up and ventured out near the hotel to a pizza place, while Ken and Amy put their kids to bed! Our kids were exhausted, but hungry and we found a great family owned brick oven pizza place! (which is good, because Pattaya is not exactly known for being family-friendly)!

The Pools were INSANE! They were all salt-water pools - they had a lazy river with caves and waterfalls, waterslides that you start at the top of the pool area, go down a little one, swim through a pool to another one, go down again, swim through another pool and slide down another slide (like a dream come true)! Bigger water slides, smaller water slides, kiddie pool with sand and a beach-like entrance, a deep dive pool with a cliff you can jump off (we loved it), a full beach on the Gulf of Thailand, a swim-up bar, a basketball pool area, music underwater near the swim-up bar, a lap pool and an infinity edge "adults only" pool! IT WAS AWESOME!!!

(we made up a rule that every time you go under a bridge, you had to kiss someone...mostly it was just Kylie and I that enforced it, but it was pretty cute)!

Lounging while watching kiddos play!

Picture of the Centara at night - we were still swimming at this point, because it gets dark by 6pm :) At dusk, the Centara had torches that light up with real fire all around the grounds! It ROCKED!

Smoochin' on Bugga before we got ice cream :) As soon as we got inside our hotel (at 9pm), the kids got changed, brushed teeth and were asleep in 2 minutes :) It was a super fun day!
