Portland, Oregon - Day 2 part 2

From Astoria, we drove to Cannon Beach!  It was cold out - maybe 30F, but heading towards sunset and soooo beautiful!  We parked, ran into a grocery to ask for a pair of scissors to cut dan's cigar, then walked out to the beach!  It was so amazing to see the Haystacks and be on the beach in Uggs and touch the Pacific Ocean! Dan enjoyed his cigar while we took a ridiculous amount of pictures, then walked around parts of Cannon Beach and headed back to Portland.  It was a treacherous drive back through the forests there - it hadn't been plowed and it had iced over.  We saw one wreck and drove super slow until we almost reached Portland!  We had a room in a different hotel downtown for the next two nights and enjoyed being down along the river in Portland!
