Christmas

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!!!

We had a great Christmas day here! We spent Christmas Eve afternoon baking and getting things ready to make for the brunch we hosted here with friends from work! Megan made (with Mommy and Daddy's help) mini blueberry muffins and Mandarin Cranberry Bread - and also chopped up sweet peppers and onions for our mini egg muffins!

The kids woke up around 7am and we held them off until about 7:30 before we came downstairs! We enjoyed opening presents for a while, then got ready to have people over for an 11am brunch! It was great to have friends over - Barb, Ben and Sarah, Savo, Paul, Mike and Meredith and their 2 little girls! We had mamosas, coffee, french toast casseroles, breakfast egg rolls, pork bacon (!) that Barb so generously shared with us, homemade cheese biscuits, yummy tomatoes with feta, mini egg and biscuit muffins, mini blueberry muffins, mandarin cranberry bread, cinnamon bubble bread and fruit! It was delicious and a great time! After everyone left (around 4pm), we opened still more presents and enjoyed the rest of the night! It was a great day and a great time to spend together!

Just now catching up with your last 3 blogs. So fun to get a glimpse of your Christmas. Love the picture you did for Meg. Looks like you have a patio to enjoy at this house. Dan, no comment on the beard. :)
The kids look so happy which is always good to see. So thankful for their nurturing parents!
XOXOXOXOXO

1. I LOVE the painting you did for Megan.
2. Dan's beard is crazy--Matt's is close to that long but he has just the goatee part.
3. Matt got a hookah pipe for Christmas too. :)
4. Can you email me the best brunch recipes you used? We are doing a New Year's Brunch.

I was just catching up on your blog! I have to tell you that the little Holiday Inn Leesburg now has a hookah bar in it. I discovered it on the sign last week, and just had to laugh.
