(there will be a 2c - we have even more pictures - oh and the museum does have english translations)!
After playing in that museum, it was getting pretty late and they were getting ready to close soon, so we took the kids outside, got ice cream and let them play on their massive playground! Dan took Kylie on it while Megan and Jack stayed together. It was now 5 o'clock and Kylie had still not had a nap. She was "pooped out" as Megan and Jack like to say, because then they can use the word poop - it never gets old, does it Megan?
The playground was older, but totally fun (and would definitely not pass any sort of safety standard in the States). They had a 7 meter (22ish feet) high climbing pyramid made out of cable wire (like the kind you find on ropes courses at Young Life camps). There was sand underneath (but only a thin layer from so many kids playing...and kids climbing all over it without any kind of support or safety. Yeah. Not our kids, although Jack desperately wanted to. But, he did get to dig in the sand with a digger until he couldn't figure out how to dig and totally lost it. That was our cue to leave. :) All 3 kids passed out hard in the car, we picked up Burger King on the way home and had a good dinner, bath's (because everyone was disgusting from sweating all day long) and headed to bed.
Oh, and in all of this? We had made informal plans to have our new friends over for dinner - thinking originally that we were going to the museum in the morning and would be home by 2pm-ish. And we didn't have their phone number, so we had no way to call to tell them! But, I think they were really understanding about it...and hopefully we can have them over soon, because they seem really nice!

I think we'll have to plan a trip to Bangkok to visit the museum. Sounds like fun!
