Free Dress Day

Thursday was Free Dress Day at school! You know we're raising our kids right when 2 of them chose to wear Hokie gear as their free dress :)

On a sidenote, we've had a lot of birthday parties this week to attend (which was great)! During the 2nd one, Jack was at the party while Kylie and Megan and I went to get dinner out. We had a conversation that cracked me up because Megan is not often mistaken:

Me: Daddy ate at a place where CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien used to eat!
Kylie: What? Meet me in St. Louis?
Megan: No Kylie - CS Lewis - He discovered America. Wait, that was Christopher Columbus. Oh yeah, CS Lewis was with Sacagawea.
Me: CS Lewis is an author - he wrote the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe - JRR Tolkien wrote the Lord of the Rings...
Megan: Oh, right. I was thinking Clark and Lewis who traveled with Sacagawea.
Me: (uncontrolable laughter)
Kylie: Don't put this on the blog...

But Megan was okay with me posting about it - so Kylie was too!
